The Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah recently have some choice words for G-Unit's Tony Yayo in response to an interview Yayo did where he said that rapper Superb wrote the majority of the lyrics for Ghostface's critically acclaimed album, Supreme Clientele.See Also:
Via an interview with digital music site Rhapsody, Ghost said that Yayo's comments were completely false.
"[Superb] is Rae's man. He been in the studio a few times while we're doing sh--. He ain't write sh--," Ghost explained. "All 'Perb contributed was a couple of lines that you could put in the air. When we write, we all do that. 'Say this one right here' or 'Put this one right here.' We all catch lines with each other 'cause you in the studio."
Ghostface went out to explain that even if Superb were to write a verse, it wouldn't make his album.
"He couldn't make an album, you feel me? I made Supreme Clientele what it is. Those are my stories, based around whatever they're based upon. It's me... But, Yayo can suck a fat d---. Tell him I said that," he said.
On the album front, Ghostface is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming new solo project, Big Doe Rehab, which hits stores December 4th.
The highly anticipated new Wu-Tang Clan album, The 8 Diagrams, that's a different story.
There has been a public bickering between Raekwon and Rza in the media, where Rae voiced his displeasure with the album's musical direction, and Ghost seems to feel the same way.
"That sh-- is wack," Ghost told Rhapsody, regarding the new Wu album. "I heard RZA was changing some of the beats around the last minute. I didn't hear that. I don't know what y'all listening to out there. I never heard it. I'm with Raekwon."
Nonetheless, The 8 Diagrams is still coming. It is slated for release December 11.
