Tony Yayo appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday (Jan. 10) to face allegations that he slapped the son of Czar Entertainment boss Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond.See Also:
The New York District Attorney said during yesterday's hearing that two members of the "Hip-Hop Police", detectives Courtney Atkins and Kinely Williams, interviewed Tony Yayo's co-defendant Lawell Fletcher on two separate occasions where Fletcher confessed to being the one who slapped Rosemond's son, not Tony Yayo.
Fletcher said that it was Tony Yayo who pulled him off the boy and restrained him.
The DA has until Jan. 18 to decide whether or not to use Fletcher's statements moving forward. Yayo's attorney, Scott Leemon, has until Feb. 1 to file motions in order to have his client tried separately.
