DJ Whoo Kid

G-Unit's resident DJ, Whoo Kid, recently revealed during a feature interview with BallerStatus.com that he is retiring from the mixtape game and hip-hop in general.

The DJ, who helped created 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew's street buzz through countless mixtapes, explained how he's become fed up with hip-hop as a whole and wants to control his own destiny by ending his career before anyone else can say he's not hot any more.

"I'm out of here. I can't take it anymore," Whoo Kid told BallerStatus.com, when asked about rumors of retirement. "Hip-hop is a violent, ruthless business. When you're not popping, they have ways of deading you. I just want to be the one to dead my career.

"I'm moving to Thailand. I already got everything planned. I got a house in Hawaii and I'm moving to Thailand," he continued.

While the Queens native put emphasis on no longer crafting mixtapes, he admits that he will continue to handle more business type actions within the music business -- focusing more on TV, radio and marketing via his Shadyville Entertainment company.

Shadyville boasts a long list of DJs across the country, which will allow Whoo Kid to market and promote projects and clients via radio, satellite, and other avenues across the world.

Through Whoo Kid's mixtape career, he's released countless exclusive tapes with the likes of Lil Kim, Lil Flip, Obie Trice, Mobb Deep, Jermaine Dupri and 50 Cent and the G-Unit family as well.

And while his infamous mixtapes may come to an end, fans will be able to hear him on Sirius Satellite via his G-Unit Radio show, and read about him in his entertainment magazine, POW!.
