Carrie Underwood isn't crying a river over her recent split from Chace Crawford.
"We broke up over text, so it's like 'peace out,'" Underwood, 25, told Extra at the Idol Gives Back taping in Hollywood Sunday. "It was completely mutual, we're both fine."
She said they haven't talked "in a while, but I mean, I don't dislike him. So it's no big deal."
Their relationship "just didn't work," Underwood added, "and we both knew it didn't work and [there are] no hard feelings at all whatsoever."
Dating in the public eye is "difficult ... because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are," she said.
Usmagazine.com was the first to report on their split. They called it quits because of their conflicting schedules, sources told Us Weekly.
"They couldn't spend time together," a source said. "It was hard."
Underwood and Crawford had been dating since last July.
