Sugarland made its first-ever to Australia last month, crossing 13 time zones to do a mere seven shows in the land Down Under. Perhaps in recovery from the travel, they were forced to cancel a pair of shows this week - in Wilmington and Asheville, N.C. - citing illness.
Despite the travel hardship, the experience was "worth it," says Jennifer Nettles. "We did several festivals, we did a few clubs. The clubs were sold out and [the lines] wrapped around the building, which was really, really cool to be in a country you have never been in before and receive such a response and a welcome and a reception. So we're definitely planning on going back."
The duo also plans the release of a new single next month, with their third album set for release in the fall.
