Acting on behalf of the team that he is a partial owner of, Jay-Z will represent the New Jersey Nets at the 2008 NBA Draft Lottery.

The lottery will take place today at the studios of NBA Entertainment in Secaucus, NJ and will be televised live on ESPN at 8 p.m. EST before Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons.

"This is very exciting and I hope my nickname 'Lucky Lefty' holds up," Hov said in press release.

Jigga will be one of 14 team representatives to be seated on the stage when NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver announces the winning order of teams participating in the Draft Lottery.

The actual NBA Draft will be held on June 26.
