Hannah Montana is coming to the silver screen once again. Walt Disney Pictures has announced that the popular tween TV series starring Miley Cyrus has begun production.
"Hannah Montana: The Movie" is the second feature-length film based on the TV show to hit the box office, and the first fully-scripted movie. The first one, which was released earlier this year, was a film of 15-year-old Cyrus' successful concert tour.
The film centers on student Miley Stewart, a girl who leads a secret double life as pop star Hannah Montana. As fame takes over her entire life, her dad Robby - played by her real life country singer father Billy Ray Cyrus - asks her to visit her hometown to get some life outlook.
The movie, which filming takes place in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Tennessee, is scheduled to be released in the northern Spring in 2009.
