Mos Def will perform a tribute to J Dilla Jan. 21 at Ann Harbor's Hill Auditorium in Michigan.

According to the Detroit News, Mos will be joined by his Mos Def Big Band, an eight-piece brass ensemble.

"I know it's going to be great," says Dilla's mother, Maureen Yancey on Tuesday. "I will be behind anything that they do."
