Hey this is my first time actually recording a solo track. I just recorded An Assassin and dont know how to fiddle with the vocals and shit like that, and how to make it into a single auto file from Cool Edit Pro. Perhaps someone can help me?

What are you trying to do with the vocals? There are plug-ins for just about every effect you could think of. Try this thread:

I don't really know about working within Cool Edit. You may be able to find some tutorials on Google, though.

I figured it out, but I forgot I had the trial version so it only saved a portion of the session. lol, I am getting the information though so I can save the full session, but I cant seem to find the setup file so I can upgrade it.

I'll see about getting the version of Sonar that I have, working, up for the board.

I got it upgraded as you can see from my post in the audio forum, but now I cant seem to figure out how to configure the vocals to make it sound right with the beat. Perhaps you may know of some guide or something that can help me in this process? I also want to add some adlibs and sound effects

Still trying to change the sound of my voice, not COMPLETELY change it. but edit it enough to where its still my voice, but doesn't sound like shit.

what kind of equipment are you using?

I am working with this MIC Half Of Nutin gave me a while back, not exactly the best MIC but its better than using nothing. I am recording with Cool Edit Pro. Still looking for some help too

You make no mention of what soundcard you are using. That's very important.

Indeed. As well as specifics. "MIC" isn't much to go on. What type of mic is it? Dynamic? Condenser? Headset? One of them ol' Bob Barker-types that they used to give with old PCs back in the day?

Are you connecting this mic directly to your soundcard? If so, how? What type of inputs does the soundcard have? Or are you using an interface?

The more info and the more specific, the better you can be helped.
