01 - Intro (Feat. DMX) (Prod. by Ervin "EP" Pope) 0/5
Corny as hell. There is no rapper who takes himself as seriously as The Game (well, Kanye or Lil wayne maybe) so it doesn't come as a surprise. Worthless intro.
02 - Lax Files (Prod. by J. R. Rotem) 4/5
Bangin' beat and the usual Game lyrics. This is why I like his albums. For the most parts he chooses the right beats and I really dig his voice and flow. nevermind that his lyrics aren't all that.
03 - State of Emergency (Feat. Ice Cube) (Prod. by J. R. Rotem) 4/5
Another bangin' beat. Too bad Cube is only on the hook.
04 - Bulletproof Diaries (Feat. Raekwon) (Prod. by Jelly Roll) 5/5
I was sceptic to have Rae on a beat by Jelly Roll but this shit is off the hook.
Rae kills it and this makes me look forward to Cuban Linx II even more.
05 - My Life (Feat. Lil Wayne) (Prod. by Cool & Dre) 4/5
Thang God Weezy is only on the hook. don't know why he feels a need to be the next Roger Troutman but it's better than his normal fucked up voice and weak lyrics
06 - Money (Prod. by Cool & Dre) 4/5
Liking the beat, Cool & Dre did a real good job on this album
07 - Cali Sunshine (Feat. Bilal) (Prod. by Nottz) 3,5/5
Good beat. The hook is a bit lame but overall an okay tune
08 - Ya Heard (Feat. Ludacris) (Prod. by Nottz) 3,5/5
Luda kills this one.
09 - Hard Liquor (Interlude) (Prod. by Ervin "EP" Pope)
Pointless. What is the beat playing in the background?
10 - House of Pain (Prod. by DJ Toomp) 5/5
Love this beat.
11 - Gentleman's Affair (Feat. Ne-Yo) (Prod. by J. R. Rotem) 1/5
Not feeling this at all
12 - Let Us Live (Feat. Chrisette Michelle) (Prod. by Scott Storch) 4/5
Another great Game/Storch collabo.
13 - Touchdown (Feat. Raheem Devaughn) (Prod. by 1500 or Nothin') 2/5
I could've done without this track as well
14 - Angel (Feat. Common) (Prod. by Kanye West) 4,5/5
The idea of a Common/Game collabo sounds weird but works remarkably well. The beat is crazy too.
15 - Never Can Say Goodbye (Feat. Latoya Williams) (Prod. by Ervin "EP" Pope) 3,5/5
Some will hate this concept and continue the "Game is a dickrider" talk but I think he pulls it off. Not feeling the hook.
16 - Dope Boys (Feat. Travis Barker) (Prod. by 1500 or Nothin') 4/5
17 - Game's Pain (Feat. Keyshia Cole) (Prod. by Knobody & Dahoud Darien) 3,5/5
The beat is okay but the hook is lame
18 - Letter to the King (Feat. Nas) (Prod. by Hi-Tek) 4/5
Great track and great beat but after an album full of gangster rhymes it seems a bit weird paying homage to MLK. Still, it's a good track and Hi-Tek cooked up a banger for them.
19 - Outro (Feat. DMX) 0/5
Like the intro, completely worthless
Overall : 3,75 / 5
Not quite as good as his other two albums but still a good album.
Take away the intro/outro, the skits and loose trk 11 & 13 and you have a great album.
