yeah on the real dominican, u say some real shit, and then u conclude with statements such as "move the fuck on" in reference to cats still listening to hip hop....that's not intelligent, that is emotional. how does listening to hip hop, analyzing lyrics, reading liner notes, or anything else associated with appreciating this form of music make it as though one os acting like a 14-year-old? there is no way u can make sense of that, so i don't even expect u to answer. another point is that u said analyzing lyrics FOR YOU would be to go back to the age of 14...key words being "for you". that sounds like a personal problem, and i am MORE than sure that for most others analyzing what someone said over a beat does not take them back to the age of 14. u tried to use how u feel an action would affect you as the grounds for how it will affect others, and that's not at all how it goes, thus your point was non-existent and no one who has common sense and read that would agree. i can feel u on not having known who a particular artist was, and even their influence...no one knows everything, BUT, when u try to make it like a cat who loves the fuck outta hip hop is displaying childish characteristics, u honestly just sound ignorant, or as tho u are willing to say anything to seem like u are better than another person. that shit is corny...my elders still listen to blues, funk, rock, old soul, AND hip hop....how does doing that equate to them being stuck in a childish state of mind? and i mean these older heads LOVE their music, so there is no difference between how some cats on here dig hip hop and how these older adults appreciate other forms of music, including hip hop. to me, it just seems like u have some good points and then promptly force me to take them as bullshit when u assume that someone loving an art form needs to grow the fuck up...ridiculous....and i seriously hope u can see what i'm saying and build with self on that, because that way of thinking is just faulty. i will have a college degree in less than a year, earned a scholarship out of high school to fund most of my education, have a daughter who will turn one soon, have lived on my own since 1998, grew up in the hood, never had a father, and have seen and experienced more shit i won't name....point being i am a grown man. so because i listen to, greatly appreciate, and hold in high regard many hop hop artists, that automatically makes me a child? think about your logic....i don't see it.
You're being emotional too... I said for me to go back to analyzing lyrics would be for me to go back to the age of 14. And yes people move the fuck on... I said
people move the fuck on, and you wrote me a novel.
I was clearly describing the situation for me, I never said if a person is over 18 and they analyze lyrics that there is something wrong with them, but there is something wrong with it for ME!
Anyway seems like everyones on some sort of backlash against me, its pretty funny to see that everyone claims i'm ignorant, yet people want to poke fun about my body image or the clothes I wear and correlate that with my mentality.
My body image or clothes has nothing to do with my mind. Or anyones mind. Everyone has their style, wheither you are from India or California. What does me wearing tight jeans or anything have to do with anything? Yeah I guess i'm the ignorant one.
Anyway I can't really say anything on here without you kids getting all crazy, cursing and talking shit. So i'm done. If you want to continue to post negative attacks against me, go ahead because i'm not responding to it anymore.
nah, i am not being emotional at all, and i wasn't attackin u or talkin about your clothes or body image....i aint the type. but i do see where i misinterpreted what u said. i thought u were telling those still big on hip hop and analyzing lyrics and such to move the fuck on, when u were actually saying that people do move on from doing that. i can dig it. i have read the myspace bulletin where u said that cats who get on u for not knowing jay dee will be suffering economically and or physically because they are too focused on unimportant shit. maybe u weren't saying that they need to move the fuck on in the post i responded to, but u basically said that in the bulletin. my whole thing is not at all to bash u or bother u....if u check my comments on HHE i never do that shit. my thing is that u are on some holier-than-thou shit, as tho cats who love hip hop are simple-minded people who are not doing other things in life. u indicated that when u said that they will be suffering economically or physically in the future (that coment was ridiculous and had no factual basis), and so naturally i thought u meant that when u said "people move the fuck on". i stand corrected on the move on statement, but i still see where u are making it like those who love hip hop need a reality check and to be more productive in their lives. u can't assume that people who participate in one aspect of life automatically don't engage in other atcivities. i mean, u can assume that, but u can't assume that and be correct. hopefully u see that i'm not tryin to get on your case....i'm just big on understanding, and want u to see that loving hip hop and being all into it does not put u in some kind of box that limits what else u can do. i think u know that anyway, but your comments show the opposite at times.
