Women have not advanced hip-hop, women have not advanced hip-hop culture. Women have merely contributed to it. And its a very limted contribution at that, and only a very small percentage of that contribution can actually be called 'quality.' Woman have struggled to find their way in hip-hop, and not without ample opportunity either, as all it takes is a steel drum in a back alley to make a beat.

If anything woman have ruined hip-hop, by distracting true emcees and hip-hop heads - women have corrupted true hip hop - by the simple act of shaking their ass. Fuckin dumb bitches. Women take perfectly decent hip-hop classics, and fuckin ruin them with their shit r&b efforts.

The fact is a lot of what women have to say just doesnt sound cool. It sounds fuckin weak. Who the fuck wants to hear about chicks cookin up a dinner in the kitchen? Or rearing babies? Or rapping about being on a period? Or rapping about shopping? I just dont want to hear that shit. And if hip-hop was about these issues, I would soon become very very very board. Thank the lord hip-hop is totally male dominated, cause thats the only way good and continually innovative hip-hop ever came about.

Am I alone in thinking that this cat is much funnier when he's trying to be serious than when he's trying to be funny?

For every RULE there is always 1 exception. And thats pretty much the only 1. I can list scores and scores of males who MADE true hip hop wat it is. Women have corrupted the emcee like delialah did to Samson. That bitch fucked up Samson man. Hip Hop used to be Samson up until Delilah came along. What a sorry state of affairs women have brought us into... Hip Hop should demand reparations for the damage women have done on to it..

So in other words, it's the woman's fault for shaking their asses, but not the man's fault for choosing to make ass shakin' jiggy beats over concrete hip-hop? I see what you're saying, but I think you're being a little too narrow in summing up the destruction of what hip-hop used to be by saying "it's the woman."

Aside from major label record companies, you can't just blame one group for this shit. I hate to go all Ponyboy here, but it's one of those "nothing gold can stay" situations. A million outside influences, most of them unaware at the time that they were bit-by-bit contributing to the downfall of something great, are to blame.

Actually, fuck it. Gangsta Boo is to blame. Fuck that bitch.

It wasn't really about the relevance of men and women in hip-hop, what the fuck?

It was just that the one girl didn't know who JayDee was, and as a result went on this self-clowning rant.. Nothing more, you're on some chinese whisper shit.

you cats is on some real homo shit. Who cares that Symbol did'nt know shit about J. Dilla. I don't know shit about Copywright and a whole number of M.C.s. Knowledge is vast, but there is much i can still learn about throughout my life. If someone doesn't know something, educate them. Don't spit on them...that's stupid and ignorant.
So what the fuck is all this hard feeling shit over the internet about? There are more pressing issues in hip-hop than someone not knowing who twenty other people know about.
You are wrong, Fikshen, women didn't fuck up Hip-Hop. It's the muthafuckas out there running this shit that allowed decrepit ass bitches like lil' Kim and Foxxxy to have a mic to voice through, and what's more is the fact that no one has done a damn thing to petition or stand up and say something about it. Peep it.
So here we are, on a message board in a "shouting" match. lame. I've out grown alot of things and this is one of them. Bitching over the net. The mutherfucking internet. Bitches please. Grow up.
I'm all for clowning and acting a fool if it's all in good fun and shit, but yall acting like emo school kids after getting their milk stolen.
Educate each other and stop pissing on people's shoes for not knowing what you know.

You also forgot to add:

Move on...its best that way. Obviously, DS is upset that no women have picked up where a great many contributive women emcees have left off. My girl picked up the latest Essence with Lauryn on the cover. I'ma read the article to find out what she's talking about. Bottom line is many Dominican has every reason to want to change the game.

Let it go.

...anybody got that Screen Actors joint with Chappelle?
